I preached again this Sunday. This time it was on the rather controversial topic of Spiritual Gifts.
I tried to major on the idea that gifts are given for the benefit of the church, not the individual, and that we should be active in ministry in our churches either using our gifts or doing things to help discover our gifts. I tried to avoid defining what tongues is, or how healing works etc.
I preached probably an open-but-cautious-but-not-to-cautious view of the Spiritual Gifts (especially in relation to the miraculous).
