I'm just going posting made today!
I haven't posted anything about MYC (Mid Year Conference). This year the topic was "The Sovereignty of God". We spent a week looking at what it meant for God to be sovereign. I've got to say i found this very challenging and i still haven't worked out if i agree with everything that was said at the conference. But, as usual it was a fun time and i learnt a lot.
This year was my last MYC. Unless they get me back as guest speaker next year. Which is highly unlikely as i will have nothing useful to speak about!
Here are some photos...

I find it somewhat unfortunate that MYC was spent on the topic of sovereignty, simply because when that is a topic the people presenting usually have a very specific, and not universally accepted, agenda. I think people interested in ministry could spend their time a little more wisely than worrying about whether sovereignty is general or meticulous or trying to divide people on two Christian world views.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a good time though. It's always good to be with fellow brothers and sisters.
