I read an article on this blog which reported on a study that was done into how youth and young adults (16-24) prefer to be contacted.

Here is the list:

1. Text messaging
2. Internet (i.e. MySpace or Facebook)
3. iPods and Podcasts
4. Instant messaging
5. Cell phone
6. DVD / CD
7. Books
8. Email

It makes me atypical because I love EMAIL and I'm 23! What's more convenient than an email?

I'd like to also know what the question that was asked in this study was... It seems slightly strange that 'Books' or 'DVD/CD' have made the list above a simple email...? If I want to ask you to plan something at youth group surely you'd prefer an email than a 1 page book? Maybe you could hold off all communication in your ministry and once a year release a book titled "All the things I should have talked to you about this year".

This study also shows me that I need to get a better phone that makes sending Text Messages easier. As well as getting a text messaging system set up for HTD. If you know of a good computer based text messaging service, that has cheap prices, leave a comment! :)
